Here is a review by “Gary L. Iverson, Sr.”
This little Jet band saw came yesterday. It was well packaged and arrived in good condition.
Here is the best part: It is every bit as good as they say it is.
It was EASY to assemble and the instructions were great.
I was not missing anything, the unit was preassembled in the main, and after about 1 hour I had it working quite well.
I tried it out on a current project and loved it.
This is well worth the money, and I think that anyone buying it will be pleased with the value. I appreciated so much the fact that the basic heart of the unit is preassembled, and obviously, had been checked out for basic function before it ever left the factory.
Unless you need a real heavy duty saw with a deeper throat and higher cut range capability, this will be everything you had hoped for when you ordered it. The only disappointment is the height off of the table for cutting. Example: If you have a cut of wood taller than 4" to cut or trim, this will not fit under the guide. To be "really" full service useful, it needs to be able to cut at least a 5" to 6" corbel for a fireplace mantle end.... otherwise.... for the money, it is a good little unit.
